This year’s tour includes two stops: The Certified Angus Beef headquarters in Wooster, Ohio, and Claylick Run Farms in Newark, Ohio. The tour will be split into two bus groups, alternating locations between the morning and afternoon.

Get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look inside the Certified Angus Beef campus from recipe development to digital marketing and everything in between. The stop will include an office and resource center tour staffed by the supply development team, as well as educational sessions with Chef Tony Biggs. The Culinary Center is a unique facility that allows for custom, immersive learning opportunities, including meat labs and cooking demonstrations. Most guests are chefs, retailers and meat marketers, but it’s relevant to all Angus breeders who want to learn more about the Science Behind the Sizzle. Plus, receive 20% off Black Hide Collection merchandise for pre-convention tour participants.

At Claylick Run Farms, Ohio Angus breeders will have cattle on display, and Select
Sires will have a presentation prepared.

Participants will have the opportunity to spend time learning about the operations, hearing from speakers and, of course, viewing outstanding Angus cattle.

Tour buses will depart the Greater Columbus Convention Center at 7:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 2 and return around 6:00 p.m. A delicious Certified Angus Beef ® brand lunch is included for all those on the tour. The National Angus Tour is a ticketed event that requires advance registration of $75 to ride the bus. No-self driving option this year. You definitely won’t leave hungry!

Meanwhile, the afternoon breakout sessions will cover a wide-variety of subjects featuring a slate of top-flight speakers.

Mark Nutsch, portrayed by actor Chris Hemsworth in the major motion picture, “12 Strong,” Mark Nutsch (aka Mitch Nelson in the film) shares lessons learned in the now-declassified saga of a U.S. Special Forces team that overcame seemingly insurmountable odds to help achieve a historic military victory. Mark Nutsch shares the true-life story of helping lead what is considered the most successful unconventional warfare campaign in modern history, a victory that changed the course of our country and the world.

Cameron Bruett, Cameron Bruett has led corporate communications, industry affairs and sustainability at JBS® USA since 2012. He started his career at JBS in 2008, managing government relations in Washington D.C. Prior to JBS, Cameron served on the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and held positions with ConAgra Foods, the EOP Group and USDA. He is the current President of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, Board Member of the Farmer Support Programme in the Netherlands and a graduate of Tuskegee University.
